Toledo NFL draft prospects playing with something to prove in bowl game

BOCA RATON, Fla. — College football bowl games are like extra credit.

It’s optional and if you perform well, you could improve your next level outlook just like your grade on an assignment.

Opting out of these games has become a trend, but that is not the mentality for dozens of NFL prospects still trying to make a name for themselves.

“I think it does nothing but elevate my game, and it's one last chance to go out with my brothers the right way,” University of Toledo running back Chip Trayanum said.

Trayanum never recorded more than 402 rushing yards until his breakout season with the Rockets this year, where he has 993 yards and 11 touchdowns.
