Toledo men's basketball survives raucous environment at Findlay

FINDLAY — Mission accomplished.

Tod Kowalczyk schedules an exhibition game at Findlay every other year because he wants to prepare his team for raucous regular-season atmospheres, and that’s exactly what the Toledo coach got on Saturday at Croy Gymnasium.

In front of a near-capacity crowd in the 2,000-seat bandbox, the Rockets got all they could handle, trailing for more than 32 minutes in an 83-78 come-from-behind thriller.

“We got everything [I wanted] and more,” Kowalczyk said. “We played against a really good team that played phenomenal. Proud of our resolve. Proud of how we just stayed together, stayed positive, and got stops.
