ROCHESTER, Mich. — The University of Toledo men’s basketball team outlasted Oakland 69-68 in a down-to-the-wire game at the Athletic Center O’rena on Wednesday night.

With the Rockets clinging to a one-point lead, Oakland had a shot for a go-ahead basket following Trey Townsend’s defensive rebound on a missed free throw by Toledo’s Ra’Heim Moss with three seconds to go. On the Grizzlies final possession, Townsend’s jumper was off the mark and Dante Maddox, Jr., grabbed the rebound for the Rockets, securing their victory.

Toledo took its final lead of the game at 67-66 by way of a Tyler Cochran layup with 46 seconds left.
