Coming out of the 2024-25 season, 3-point shooting was an area where University of Toledo men’s basketball coach Tod Kowalczyk was looking for support.
UT was seventh in the MAC in 3-point percentage last season with a .336 mark, and three of the top four 3-point shooters with significant attempts have departed.
The transfer portal, a market that can take away top mid-major players, can provide, as well.
“Everybody talks about the transfer portal, but it works both ways, too,” Kowalczyk said. “We had to make some changes, and we did and I think for any leader of any organization, the best thing you can do is admit mistakes early on and try to correct it.
