Rockford, IL – Toledo was defeated by Northern Illinois, 4-3, to wrap up a season sweep of the Rockets by the Huskies. With the loss, UT falls to 7-15 overall and 0-5 in the conference, which ends the Rockets' eligibility for the 2016 MAC tournament.
"Three of our 4-3 MAC losses have come down to the last match on the court, and at the very end of the third set. That being said, 15 minutes of our entire year coasted us our tournament bid. It just shows you how competitive the MAC is," said head coach Al Wermer.
