BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Toledo wrapped up its regular season with a 1-0 overtime loss at Bowling Green on Thursday, but will still enter the Mid-American Conference Tournament as the No. 6 seed.
Toledo (10-5-4, 5-4-2 MAC) and Bowling Green (9-6-3, 8-2-1 MAC) went scoreless through 90 minutes of physical play in regulation before the Falcons sealed the "Battle of I-75" victory in overtime. Five minutes into the extra time, Bowling Green forward Nikki Cox broke the deadlock with a shot from the top of the box, that was deflected past UT goalkeeper for the only goal of the contest.
