If you watched NFL Thursday night football this week, the Houston Texans sacked Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen eight times and caused three turnovers.
Former University of Toledo running back and current Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam, who was in attendance, may have had flashbacks as the Rockets produced a similar result in their 38-9 win over Ball State on Saturday.
“They keep raising the standard and raising the bar of what it should look like, being disruptive on the defensive front,” Toledo head coach Jason Candle said. “They were very disruptive and very good all day.”
The Rockets (7-4 overall, 5-2 Mid-American Conference) had seven sacks, two interceptions, and 17 tackles for loss to top a program record 14 set in 2006.
