Coming off a loss to rival Bowling Green State University, the way the University of Toledo started Saturday’s game against Kent State didn’t look good.
The Golden Flashes took the first play from scrimmage for a 75-yard touchdown.
Toledo, however, recovered thanks to multiple players with career days. The Rockets wound up pulling away for a 45-10 victory at the Glass Bowl.
Wide receiver Trayvon Rudolph had a season-high 119 receiving yards, running back Kenji Christian had a season-high 113 yards, and quarterback Tucker Gleason had a career-high four touchdown passes.
“All wins are good, but I think from our standpoint, strength is in the response,” head coach Jason Candle said.
