The University of Toledo announced the promotion of two members of its football staff to position coaches Monday.
Kevin Beard, previously the director of player personnel and assistant recruiting coordinator, will take over as the new receivers coach, while Nate Cole, previously the director of player development, will take over as running backs coach.
Beard will fill the void of Mike Bellamy, who left Toledo to become the running backs coach at Illinois. Cole takes over for Kerry Dixon, who is the new receivers coach at Georgia Tech.
“We are very excited to move Kevin Beard and Nate Cole into their new roles as position coaches,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said in a press release.
