After the Rockets’ spring game Friday night, Candle briefed reporters in the team meeting room, then prepared to cede the floor to his passers. Peters began to approach the dais, but only got so far as the coach caught sight of his black undershirt, emblazoned with the logo of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Candle turned the Florida native back. “Mitch [Guadagni] will go first,” he said.
Lest a Toledo player go on camera repping another team, Candle pulled Peters aside and handed him his blue pullover.
