The University of Toledo football team’s season has officially come to an end as the Rockets did not receive a bowl bid on Sunday.
After getting off to a 4-1 start and then a 6-3 overall mark after two narrow home wins, the Rockets faltered down the stretch and lost the final three games of the season.
With a 6-6 overall record and a 3-5 record in the Mid-American Conference, Toledo was the only bowl-eligible team not to receive a bowl invite. With 79 FBS teams eligible for 78 bowl spots, Toledo was collectively the odd man out when the bowl schedule was announced.
