The University of Toledo is set to open up its football season at 8 p.m. Wednesday against Bowling Green at the Glass Bowl after an offseason of drama due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In early August, the Mid-American Conference announced it was postponing its fall sports season due to remaining uncertainty over the coronavirus pandemic. In late November, however, the league reversed course largely thanks to an increase in available testing and cardiac monitoring equipment.
With the return of a shortened six-game season, the Rockets are looking to bounce back after going 6-6 last year.
