The University of Toledo has announced head football coach Jason Candle has tested positive for the coronavirus and will be self-isolating for the next 10 days.
The university said Candle was exposed by an individual outside the athletic department who tested positive for the virus. Candle is not experiencing any symptoms of the virus at this time and will be self-isolating at home.
Toledo will work with the Lucas County Health Department to determine if any further action must be taken.
"I appreciate all the doctors and medical workers who are on the front lines battling the virus," Candle said in a prepared statement.
