TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team lost an early Saturday morning match against UIC, 5-2, at Twos Athletic Club.
"We competed very well on some courts, but just not good enough today against a tough UIC team," said head coach . "We will continue to focus on the process."
The Rockets dropped the doubles point despite senior /sophomore 6-3 win on the No. 1 court.
On the No. 1 singles court, Leenabanchong defeated Karyna Bihel 6-1, 6-3. Junior posted the Rockets' second point from the No. 4 court with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Izzy Marshall.
