Baton Rouge, La.— The Toledo baseball team hung tough with No. 14 LSU in Baton Rouge on Friday night, but the Tigers came out on top, 8-1.
Junior Michael Jacob started the game for UT and, after allowing three runs in the first two innings, he kept the Rockets in the game with four straight scoreless frames. LSU scored in the bottom of the first inning and twice in the second, but Toledo would get one of those runs back in the third. Freshman John Servello drove in freshman Zach Schwartzenberger to make the score 3-1.
