CHICAGO – The Toledo women's tennis team dropped a close match to UIC on Friday afternoon. Freshman Jacklynka Scholten registered her seventh-straight singles match win in the Rockets' 4-3 defeat to the Flames.
The Rockets (5-2) earned the point in doubles play after grabbing wins on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. Jacklynka Scholten and Neha Guru picked up a 6-3 victory on the No. 1 court, while Audrey Moutama and Jone Ibanez clinched the doubles point on the No. 2 court, 7-5.
Toledo started strong in singles play, with Scholten tallying a straight-set victory on the No.
