Toledo falls at home to No. 25 Buffalo

In what seemed like it could be a charmed Friday night at Savage Arena, the University of Toledo men’s basketball team had its chances against No. 25 Buffalo, but ultimately fell 88-82 in front of a sold-out crowd.

Early on in the matchup between Mid-American Conference West-leading Toledo and MAC East co-leaders Buffalo, everything was going the way of the Rockets.

After Luke Knapke banked in a 3-pointer and Jaelan Sanford swished a double-pump, desperation 3 in a late shot-clock situation to give Toledo the first 10 points of the game, it looked like it might be Toledo’s night.
