Following an upset loss at rival Bowling Green, the University of Toledo football team has a potentially season-defining game at Ball State on Saturday.
A 20-7 loss to Bowling Green left many more questions than answers for Toledo (4-2, 1-1 MAC), and the Rockets will have to answer those quickly, as Ball State (3-3, 2-0) enters its homecoming game brimming with confidence after road wins against Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan the past two weeks.
“They have two big road wins that I think gave them a lot of confidence,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said. “They've rallied around their quarterback who is playing really good right now — the leading passer in our conference yardage-wise.
