TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior second-half goal proved to be enough to earn Toledo a 1-0 shutout victory over Central Michigan on Sunday afternoon. The win is the first in conference play for the Rockets (4-5-2, 1-2-1 MAC) this season and the third shutout of the year.
Toledo and Central Michigan came out of halftime deadlocked at 0-0 when sophomore set up Leonetti to tap the ball by CMU's Allison LaPoint and off the left post in the 51 minute to take a one-goal lead. The Chippewas tried to create some offense, but the Rockets' defense held them off until the final horn to secure the 1-0 shutout.
