TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team has earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 22nd consecutive season, the organization announced Monday.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
The Rockets posted a 3.519 team GPA last fall and a 3.367 team GPA in the spring.
Toledo, Bowling Green (22) and Indiana State (24) are the only three Division I schools that have won the AVCA Team Academic Award for at least 22 straight seasons.
