TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo baseball team (23-31, 21-17 MAC) dropped both games of its doubleheader against Central Michigan (38-16, 29-9 MAC) at Mercy Field on Saturday. CMU won the first game 1-0 before taking game two by a score of 9-0.
Game one was the definition of a pitcher's duel, with both teams combining for just the one run on four hits in eight innings. started on the mound for Toledo and threw eight innings, tying his career-high, and struck out three while allowing just five baserunners. CMU's Andrew Taylor tossed an eight-inning shutout, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out 10.
