MUNCIE, Ind. – The University of Toledo football team flexed its muscles on offense in a 58-17 blowout of Ball State on Thursday night at Scheumann Stadium
The beginning of the game was a bit sluggish, but once Toledo got rolling, it was sophomore receiver Diontae Johnson who provided a big spark. Johnson caught four passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns and added an 87-yard punt return touchdown.
Johnson’s playmaking ability was on full display with a back shoulder fade for a 67-yard TD, a spectacular grab on an 88-yard TD, and a bobbled punt he recovered and then took the rest of the way for an 87-yard touchdown.
