On Thursday afternoon, Toledo football released its first depth chart of the 2020 season, with its season-opener against Bowling Green less than a week away.
For fans hoping to gain some insight into the most anticipated position battle at quarterback, you’re out of luck — look at that section of the chart and you’ll be met with the word “or” repeated between the names of Eli Peters, Carter Bradley, and Dequan Finn.
At least publicly, the state of the battle remains a mystery. Head coach Jason Candle previously said he wasn’t setting a deadline to make a decision and is sticking to that, offering up only that the starter will know ahead of Wednesday’s opener.
