BUFFALO, NY. – Toledo is one game closer to the end of the regular season following a 0-0 tie with Buffalo in a crucial Mid-American Conference matchup Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Emma Boutorwick recorded her ninth shutout to help Toledo (10-4-4, 5-3-2 MAC) get one game closer to a spot in the MAC tournament.
The Rockets entered the game in fifth place in the MAC standings and remain so with one game to play. The top six teams qualify for the MAC Tournament. Toledo will need any combination of a win or tie in its season finale at Bowling Green, or a loss or tie by sixth-place Central Michigan (5-4-1) in its game at Eastern Michigan (1-7-2) on the same day.
