Toledo coach Candle clarifies clock management decisions

In its 31-28 loss to Northern Illinois on Wednesday night at the Glass Bowl, the University of Toledo football team squandered a chance at a potential game-tying field goal as they watched the time expire as they were trying to get up to the line to spike the ball at the Huskies 26 yard line.

Toledo coach Jason Candle chose not to call for a spike from the sidelines on the prior play and quarterback Eli Peters threw underneath to running back Shakif Seymour one too many times as the Rockets could not set up a field goal attempt.
