Toledo, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team will be the No. 5 seed in next week's Mid-American Conference Tournament at Sprenger Stadium in Avon, Ohio. UT will face No. 4 seed Central Michigan on Wednesday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. to open tournament play.
The Rockets earned a spot in the conference tourney after Ball State defeated Western Michigan on the final day of the regular season, and moved up to the fifth seed after Eastern Michigan's 11-inning loss on Saturday. Toledo stayed alive, though, thanks to a series sweep of Bowling Green this weekend at Scott Park. After an 11-6 win on Thursday, UT won both games of a Friday doubleheader, 4-0 and 3-0.
