Toledo blown out at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Toledo football team lost its second game in a row with a 52-14 defeat to Ball State on Saturday at Scheumann Stadium.

With the win, Ball State (4-3, 3-0 MAC) takes control of the Mid-American Conference West Division as it now has three wins over MAC West teams.

Toledo meanwhile falls to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the MAC.

On Toledo's first possession of the game on Saturday, quarterback Carter Bradley was hit as he prepared to throw and fumbled. The ball was recovered by Ball State.

That set up a 42-yard field goal from Ryan Rimmler that gave Ball State a 3-0 lead early in the opening quarter.
