AVON, Ohio — The University of Toledo baseball team continued to fight its way through the elimination bracket of the Mid-American Conference tournament, defeating 13-10 Saturday.
The win made the fifth-seeded Rockets one of the final three teams in the tournament and set up a Saturday night elimination game against No. 2 seed Kent State, which lost to No. 1 Miami (Ohio) on Saturday afternoon.
Toledo had a morning start at Crushers Park for the third straight day after beating Bowling Green on Thursday, losing to Miami on Friday, and knocking off Eastern Michigan on Friday night.
