Central Michigan overcame the University of Toledo’s quick start, scoring three runs each in the fifth and sixth innings in defeating the Rockets 10-7 in a Mid-American Conference baseball tournament elimination game on Saturday at Ball State University’s Ball Diamond.
The defeat eliminated the Rockets from the double-elimination MAC tournament. UT lost to Central Michigan on Wednesday, and rebounded to defeat Ohio on Friday to advance.
"It's never easy when a season ends, but I am so proud of this team," Rockets head coach Rob Reinstetle said. "We accomplished so much this year. We set some personal records, team records, and had program bests.
