TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo Department of Athletics today unveiled a fundraising campaign designed to help offset the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign, called "Refueling the Rockets," is an appeal to Rocket supporters on all levels to make a one-time gift that will help the department fund the athletic and academic needs of nearly 400 student-athletes in 16 varsity sports.
"Due to factors related to the pandemic, we anticipate that our revenue will decline somewhere in the range of $6-7 million," said UToledo Vice President and Athletic Director Mike O'Brien.
