Toledo adds 2 new coaches

Two coaches reportedly will join the University of Toledo’s football staff, including another Mount Union graduate.

According to FootballScoop.com, new Toledo coach Jason Candle lured away Northern Illinois linebackers coach Ross Watson to join the Rockets’ staff. Watson played cornerback for Mount Union from 2002-2005 and was the Purple Raiders' cornerbacks coach for one season in 2006-07.

Candle, who was a wide receiver at Mount Union, was on the Purple Raiders’ staff from 2003-08 before joining UT in 2009.

Watson will replace Tyson Veidt, who followed former Toledo coach Matt Campbell to Iowa State.
