TOLEDO, Ohio - Senior catcher Corey Tipton went 2-for-4 with four RBI's en route to a 8-5 Rockets' non-conference win over Oakland on Wednesday night at Mercy Field.
Toledo (6-19) trailed by a pair of runs, 5-3, after the top of the sixth inning, but scored a total of five runs in the next three innings to earn the win and snap a four-game slide. The Rockets pounded out 10 hits, five of which went for extra bases.
Oakland (3-19) struck first in the top of the second inning with a run off of freshman Toledo starter Austin Calopietro.
