PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Sophomore Thomas Thurloway nearly set a school record with an impressive six-under par 65 on Tuesday to move into a fifth-place tie following two rounds at the Saint Mary's Invitational. Thurloway's red-hot play helped the Rockets move up five spots in the team standings into ninth place. The tournament field includes 12 teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 100 and is being played at the par-71, 7,002-yard Poppy Hills Golf Course.
Thurloway, who stands at four-under 138 thru 36 holes, played his first five holes today at two-over par and reached the turn at even-par.
