Three takeaways from Toledo's win over Bowling Green

The University of Toledo kept the Battle of I-75 trophy for the ninth straight season with a 52-36 win over Bowling Green on Saturday at the Glass Bowl. The Rockets jumped out to an early 17-0 lead and pulled away late in what was a tightly contested battle for much of the game.

Here are three takeaways from Toledo’s win:

1. Peters fills in admirably: Sophomore Eli Peters played mistake-free football in his first career start and threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Thrust into action after starter Mitch Guadagni suffered a concussion in the previous game, Peters commanded the Toledo offense which scored 52 points.
