TOLEDO, Ohio - Three student-athletes from the Toledo women's track and field team have qualified for the NCAA East Regional on Thursday-Saturday, May 25-27 in Lexington, Ky. The trio will have the chance to advance to the NCAA Championships with a top 12 finish in their respective events.
Junior Joan Jepkirui qualified in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:28.53 in the 51st-annual Hillsdale GINA Relays. Jepkirui finished fourth in the event and was the 56th fastest time in the region.
Freshman Caroline Lambert will compete in the 10,000-meter run in which she qualified with a mark of 34:21.
