Toledo, Ohio— Three University of Toledo baseball players were named all-stars in their respective summer leagues recently. Nate Haugh, Kyle Jones, and Ryan Thompson were all selected to represent their summer ball teams as all-stars.
Haugh was selected to play in the Prospect League All-Star Game as a representative of the Chillicothe Paints. He pitched a scoreless eighth inning and helped the East Division to a commanding 11-2 win over the West Division in the game. Haugh has been terrific this summer as the Paints' closer, striking out 37 and walking just six in 23.
