For three seasons running backs Terry Swanson and Kareem Hunt shared backfield duties for the University of Toledo football team. They were roommates off the field, and they even share a birthday.
“The kind of insane thing is that me and Terry have the same birthday,” Hunt said when he was back in Toledo for the Akron game. “He’s a full year younger than me. We were both born on Aug. 6. I thought he was messing with me when he first told me.”
While Hunt, now a rookie with the Kansas City Chiefs, was becoming the all-time leading rusher at Toledo, Swanson was doing his best to fulfill his role as backup and occasional change of pace back.
