Greg Mancz was an all-state offensive lineman at Cincinnati Anderson, where he won a state title and played in the Big 33 game. But college offers weren’t plentiful, and even at Toledo, he redshirted his first season and didn’t harbor professional football aspirations.
Then, he was a first-team freshman All-American, a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection, the MAC MVP, and a second-team All-American. Football became his ticket, which he cashed in with a nine-year NFL career, including six with the Houston Texans.
