OXFORD, Ohio – Sophomore Sarah-Rose Sullivan and freshman Amara Okpalaoka each won events for Toledo's women's track & field at Miami University's Blizzard Buster in Oxford, Ohio on Friday. It was the first meet of the outdoor season for th Rockets.
Sullivan captured the 800m with a time of 2:16.38. Okpalaoka won the long jump with a leap of 5.72 meters, well beyond the best jump if second-place finisher Elle Miller of Miami (5.57m).
Other top-five finishes at the meet came from sophomores Promise Cross (2nd/high jump) and Paige Embaugh (3rd/800m).
