Box Score DEKALB, Ill. - A penalty kick in the 74th minute was all the Rockets needed to earn a 1-0 victory over Northern Illinois Sunday afternoon in DeKalb. Freshman Brooke Stonehouse converted the penalty kick for the Rockets after drawing a foul in the box.
After a scoreless first half, the Rockets dominated the final 45 minutes of the game, firing off 10 shots while putting five on frame. A perfect ball from the back sent Stonehouse flying into the box, where a Huskie defender committed a foul. Stonehouse took the penalty kick herself, and sent a beautifully placed ball to the lower right corner to score the game's only goal in the 74th minute.
