TOLEDO, Ohio - Sophomore Raymond Korir was named Mid-American Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Korir set the pace for the Rockets, posting a personal-best time of 24:37.2, nearly two minutes faster than his previous 8K time, to take second at the Buckeye Preview in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday. His finish helped the Rockets to a seventh-place team finish. This marks Korir's second finish in the top-five, following his fourth-place finish at the NIU Huskie Challenge in Sept. 6.
The Toledo men's and women's cross country teams will hit the course again Oct.
