EAST LANSING, Mich. — Toledo played as bad of a half of basketball as it has in a long time, according to coach Tod Kowalczyk.
The Rockets were not only down by 30 points to No. 9 Michigan State on Tuesday at the Breslin Center, they were being outshot and outrebounded by considerable margins.
While there was a bit of a recovery in the second half, Toledo suffered its third consecutive road loss, 92-69.
“Really disappointed in how we played the first half,” Kowalczyk said. “To be honest, they were embarrassed and I was embarrassed at halftime with the way we played.
