CLOVIS, Calif. – Senior Petronela Simiuc set a personal best in the 1500 meters at the West Coast Relays in Clovis, Calif. on Friday, finishing in sixth place with a time of 4:13.62. Simiuc's time ranks her 14th in the country and secures her a spot in the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonvile, Fla. on May 27-29.
"Last night's race was a culmination of all the weeks and months of hard work that Petra has been putting in," said Head Coach Andrea Grove-McDonough. "She believed in the process and was rewarded with a new personal-best.
