TOLEDO, Ohio - University of Toledo senior Petronela Simiuc is set to compete in the mile event at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. The preliminary round will be held at 5:35 p.m. MT (7:35 p.m. ET) on Friday and the finals will be held at 4:20 p.m. MT (6:30 p.m. ET) on Saturday.
Simiuc had a tremendous indoor season, breaking Toledo's all-time record in the mile and 800 meters twice each. On Jan. 24, Simiuc clocked a time of 4:38.
