KENNESAW, Ga. – Senior Nate Thomson tied for eighth place for his best finish as a Rocket and the Toledo men's golf team posted a seventh-place showing on Tuesday at Kennesaw State's Pinetree Intercollegiate. The Rockets improved two spots in today's final round and finished at 31-over 895 at the par-72, 7,108-yard Pinetree Country Club.
Thomson was consistent throughout the tournament en route to carding a four-over par 220. He shot a one-over par 73s in the first and third rounds sandwiched by a two-over par 74 in the second round.
"It was nice to see Nate earn a Top-10 finish and couple of our other guys play a solid round or two in the tournament," Head Coach Jeff Roope said.
