Second-half surge lifts Toledo men's basketball past Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The University of Toledo’s men’s basketball team outscored Central Michigan 47-34 in the final 20 minutes to turn a 10-point halftime deficit into a 78-75 Mid-American Conference victory on Saturday at McGuirk Arena.

The Rockets (8-6, 2-0 MAC) secured their third straight victory, while the Chippewas fell to 4-11 (0-3 MAC).

Kyler Vanderjagt poured in a game-high 23 points to lead five Toledo players in double figures scoring. Sonny Wilson added 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Austin Parks tallied a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Sean Craig had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Leroy Blyden, Jr.
