TOLEDO, Ohio – Sophomore guard Ryan Rollins of the Toledo men's basketball team has been named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today. Rollins currently holds a 3.17 grade-point average as a business major.
Rollins averaged 23.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.0 apg and 3.5 spg in home victories over Buffalo and Akron last week to help Toledo maintain its first-place standing at the top of the Mid-American Conference. Rollins also shot 51.9 percent (14-of-27) from the field and 81.0 percent (17-of-21) at the free-throw line to help the Rockets extend their winning streak to eight games.
