BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— The Toledo baseball team defeated UAB on Sunday, 6-4, in extra innings to clinch the weekend series.
The Rockets led for much of the game before the Blazers scored two in the bottom of the sixth and two in the seventh to knot the score at 4-4. With two outs in the top of the tenth and the bases loaded, sophomore Darryn Davis drove in two runs with a base hit to make it 6-4, the game-winning hit in a thrilling series finale.
Junior Kyle Bischoff was terrific on the mound.
