TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team defeated Youngstown State 5-2 at Shadow Valley Tennis Club on Saturday.
"This was a very solid team win against a Penguin team that beat us 6-1 a year ago," said head coach . "The guys were inspired from the first ball and throughout the day."
The Rockets started strong, earning the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 court and No. 2 courts. Senior /junior defeated Joao Garretto/Will Everett, 6-2, on the No. 1 court. With a loss on the No. 3 court, the pressure was on sophomore /freshman to secure the doubles point.
