SHEPARD, Mich. – Semra Karaslan started out the 2020 season with a first-place finish at the Jeff Drenth Memorial in Shepard, Mich. on Saturday . Karaslan crossed the finish line with a time of 17:25.6 leading the women's team to a first-place finish over host Central Michigan and Western Michigan.
Sophomore Emily Vining was the second Rocket to cross the line with a third-place finish, posting a time of 17:47.1. The Rocket women had four additional top 10 finishes, with Maya Hannagan taking fourth, recording a time of 17:59.2. Amanda Tremains placed sixth with a time of 18:06.
